This study will begin by reviewing the historical development and trends of cryptocurrency fraud, and analyzing the reasons behind its emergence and its impact. Furthermore, it will introduce various types of cryptocurrency fraud and their distinctive features, such as fake exchange scams, ICO scams, wallet scams, and social engineering scams. For each type, the working mechanisms, attack techniques, and characteristics that make victims susceptible will be thoroughly explored. Moreover, this research will provide corresponding preventive measures to help users better protect themselves against cryptocurrency fraud. These measures include verifying the legitimacy of exchanges, conducting careful research on the feasibility of ICO projects, utilizing official cryptocurrency wallet applications, and being cautious of social engineering attacks, among others.
