In recent years, the development of the manufacturing industry has gradually shifted from manufacturing to customer-oriented. Thus, providing professional services from the perspective of customers throughout product design to after-sales service is significant. Product repairing and failure analysis are particularly important in after-sales. Companies can learn from the failure trend and continue to improve their product reliability that is crucial for enhancing customer satisfaction and loyalty. However, in the past, taking DRAM manufacturers as an example, product repairing generally relies on the personnel to find out the cause of the failure by testing the product manually and compare the relevance of corresponding BOM (Bill of Material), circuit diagram and failure components which are time consumed and inefficient. In this research, the RMA repair system is combined with the data collection from testing equipment, and then compared the manufacturing data and circuit diagrams to determine the failure cause and location automatically. Thereby improving the repair efficiency and automating the system. When the products being inspected, the system can automatically collect and record the inspection data in the database and generates a data visualization report in the WEB at POWER BI the same time. The key personnel therefore can obtain the product data in real time and improve related manufacturing processes accordingly. The big data generated by the system is combined with BI reports to analyze the causes and trends of defects, allow decision makers comprehend the product life cycle and costs from the analysis report and then discover the advantages and disadvantages of their own product. The analysis report can also be useful for future new product development, price definition and market competition opportunity analysis etc.
