Shoes are the necessities of modern life,good shoes can correct posture,bad shoes on the other hand will cause back pain, foot pain, etc. All this factors motioned above are showing how important the insole is, the insole is even more important for people who needs to stand for a long period of time during works, or the people who suffer from foot deform, diabetic foot, etc.,In recent years due to the rapid development of the additive manufacturing(AM), many complex design of the component can be manufactured, the flexibility of the AM surely can improve the time-consuming traditional manufacture method, for now, various materials has been used widely, such as ceramics, metal, polymer and composite material, due to its flexibility of material application, it also been widely used in the field of automobile, aerospace, mold application,and many famous sport brand corporations such as, NewBalance, Adidas and Nike, and these corporations launched their new products through AM technology, due to its flexibility of design and manufacture. This study combines 3D printing with an algorithm aided design(AAD) platform to create a customized insole with porous structure, which can match with the foot shape of the user,unlike most of the 3D modeling software,AAD platform increase the flexibility of the design process and the design of the contour, by using logic component, workflow construction and programming, in the study we design a the sole through gradient density, thickness and the form of structures, and compare it with the market products, to find out whether it have better pressure absorption ability. In study we used the commercial FEA software, ABAQUS® to replace try and error method, by using the beam elements for numerical stress analysis inside the software environment, by doing so we can save computation time and resources, we observed the advantages and disadvantages through the FEA results, and we can tell from the results﹐the final result of the study was a customized design based on the position of the peak pressure in the foot caused by different stance habits of the user﹐in this study, it was found that porous lattice structured insoles are effective in relieving the average stress on the foot﹐of all the design variables, surface fit is the most important one.
