在台灣英語學習是重要且流行的。為了幫助高中生準備英語入學考試，大學入學考試中心（CEEC）公告了一份7,000個英語單詞的《高中英文參考詞彙表》。本研究目的是調查雅思及多益考試中閱讀測驗之字彙涵蓋量，並與 7,000 字《高中英文參考詞彙表》進行比較。
本研究採用了兩個詞彙語料庫。為了蒐集提出的研究問題所需的數據，研究者使用 AntConc 和 AntWordProfiler 軟體從雅思考試官方指南和多益測驗官方全真試題指南VI 的閱讀測驗部分蒐集詞彙。所有選擇的詞彙皆是實詞，包括名詞、動詞、形容詞和副詞。同時，從大學入學考試中心（CEEC）下載了7,000 字《高中英文參考詞彙表》。
本研究共獲得了三項主要結果。(一) 雅思語料庫的文本詞彙生字率之比例為82.63%，而7,000 字《高中英文參考詞彙表》涵蓋了雅思閱讀測驗中出現單字的比列為70.3%。(二) TOEIC語料庫的文本詞彙多樣性之比例為41.19%，而7,000 字《高中英文參考詞彙表》涵蓋了多益閱讀測驗中出現單字的比列為63.9%。(三) 7,000 字《高中英文參考詞彙表》涵蓋的單字百分比在雅思閱讀測驗中（70.3%）高於多益閱讀測驗（63.9%）。此外，雅思及多益測驗之語料庫在文本詞彙生字率的比例上存在明顯差異。最後，本研究針對未來相關研究提供教學應用與建議。

English is an important and popular foreign language to learn in Taiwan. In order to help senior high school student prepare for the English Entrance Examination, the College Entrance Examination Center (CEEC) promulgated a list of 7,000 English words. The purpose of this study was to investigate lexical coverage in the reading comprehension texts of the IELTS and TOEIC tests in comparison with the 7,000-word list.
There were two lexical corpora adopted in the study. To collect the data needed for the proposed research questions, the vocabulary words were gathered from the reading comprehension sections of the IELTS Essential Guide and the TOEIC® Official Test Preparation Guide (Vol. 6) by using the software of AntConc and AntWordProfiler. All the words chosen were content words, including nouns, verbs, adjectives, and adverbs. Meanwhile, the list of 7,000 words was downloaded from the official website of the CEEC.
There were three major results obtained from this study. First, the ratio of word types and word tokens for the IELTS corpus is 82.63%, and the CEEC 7,000-word list covers 70.3% of the words that appear in the IELTS reading comprehension texts. Second, the ratio of word types and word tokens for the TOEIC corpus is 41.19%, and the CEEC 7,000-word list covers 63.9% of the words that appear in the TOEIC reading comprehension texts. Third, the percentage of words covered by the CEEC 7000-word list is higher in the IELTS reading comprehension texts (70.3%) than in the TOEIC reading comprehension texts (63.9%). In addition, there is a difference in the ratio of word types and word tokens between the IELTS and TOEIC lexical corpora. Finally, the study proposed pedagogical implications and suggestions for future research.
