本論文旨在探討副文本於《傲慢與偏見》台灣出版翻譯本中的不同之處，而此研究採用簡奈特(Genette, 1997)的副文本理論，研究材料以2005年後於台灣發行的十七本《傲慢與偏見》的中文譯本為研究素材，探討《傲慢與偏見》中文譯本的封面設計、網路資訊以及前言內容所提供的資訊種類。研究發現封面設計的圖面以女性人物為主，於封面和網路資訊中，各類推薦、紀念日與《傲慢與偏見》電影相關內容扮演相當重要的角色，因為這幾類資訊於封面設計與網路資訊都佔有相當大的比例；此外，封面的引言與資訊網站推薦內容的描述對象截然不同，引言是針對故事內容，推薦則是針對《傲慢與偏見》作者珍·奧斯汀，《傲慢與偏見》在前言中會有更佳詳盡的內容，包含對於故事角色、故事內容或作者的寫作風格，而且前言也是唯一內容有包含新譯本的介紹，最後得到《傲慢與偏見》譯本之副文本使用的不同。雖然翻譯作品的副文本研究數量至今仍相當有限，但此研究仍期盼能藉此擴大副文本的研究，能給予未來相關研究作為實用的資訊參考。

The goal of this study lies in exploring differences for the paratexts of Chinese versions of Pride and Prejudice. Genette's (1997) paratext theory provides the theoretical framework for further research in differences. The seventeen Chinese translation books of Pride and Prejudice published in Taiwan after 2005 are utilized as research materials. The researcher looks into what information is provided in the cover design, website information, and the foreword in the Chinese translation books of Pride and Prejudice. As the findings show, the cover designs are mostly presented with the illustrations of a female figure. Recommendations, anniversaries, and information about the movie “Pride and Prejudice” play a vital role in information on the front cover and web-based information, because these kinds of information take up a huge part of overall information on the front cover and web-based information. Moreover, quotes on the front covers and recommendations on the website show an obvious difference in the object of their depictions- quotes are about the plots of the story, but recommendations are about praises for Jane Austen. As for the foreword, the work of original text or the translation work can have more comprehensive content offered by the writer of the foreword- the analyses of characters in the story, the work, or the writing style of the author are all incorporated. Especially, the foreword is the only section providing a certain amount of information about the introduction of the new translation. Eventually, the differences of paratextual use in the Chinese translations of Pride and Prejudice can be found. Even at present, the quantity of research on translation works from the paratext perspective merely have quite limited amounts. However, it is still expected that this study could amplify the scope of the research on the paratext, or at least provide a useful reference for further research.
