In recent years, Taiwan has taken the development of high-tech industry as its main competitive force, and the most important feature of high-tech industry is the concentration of talents. Since the talent is the most important asset of an enterprise, enterprise must understand the feelings and work value of employees. Leadership behavior may also affect the psychological well-being of the employee. Thus, this study first compared the demographic differences of high-tech industry employees in work value, leadership behavior, and well-being. Next, this study aimed to explore the relationships among work value, leadership behavior, and well-being, and then the impact of work value and leadership behavior on well-being.
Questionnaire survey method was used in this study and the subjects were 145 high-tech employees recruited from high-tech companies located in Taiwan. Through statistical analyses, this study found that the employees under the age of 30 perceived supervisor leadership behavior toward more consideration. Also, work value and leadership behavior significantly positively correlated with well-being. Furthermore, both work value and leadership behavior had positive effects on well-being. Finally, the implication of this study is that the enterprise should strengthen the consideration leadership behavior of the supervisor, put importance on the self-growth and self-realization of work value,and offer the psychology-related courses , which lead to enhance well-being of the employee, and in turn increase the enterprise competitive advantage.
