In optical fiber transmission, fiber clean is very important. When the optical fiber is repeatedly plugged or long time idle, without anti-dust process, it cause the optical fiber end face to be unclean. Even small dust may affect the transmission efficiency and even paralyze the entire transmission system. Therefore, the cleaning of the fiber end face is extremely important. Only when the fiber end face is clean can the complete performance be achieved. On the market common optical fiber cleaning tools are mainly dry cleaning, which are divided into cassette type optical connector cleaners tools, business card cleaning tools and pen-shaped cleaning tools. They use cleaning tapes for cleaning, but they need to use additional tools for cleaning, consider cost down and convenience, moved the idea to the fiber dust cover. In this study, the fiber cleaning tape is combined with the fiber dust cover to make the application and implementation of automated equipment. The fiber cleaning tape is changed to a high-viscosity cleaning tape for optics, and it is cut to an appropriate size and then pressed into the fiber dust cover The upper part is convenient for users to clean directly when they remove the dust cover and turn it over to the back. With current automation equipment, the feeding, clamping and cutting parts will all touch the cleaning zone of the cleaning belt, causing the cleaning belt Contamination and dirt affect the cleaning effect. Therefore, this research first made a test machine, and pressed the cleaning tape into the optical fiber dust cover in an automated production method based on the principle of not touching the cleaning area of the cleaning tape. The main stations are different. It is: feeding, clamping, cutting and ferrule pressing into the station. After confirming that the method is feasible, it can be used in large-scale automated production equipment, which can greatly save the time and procedures required for fiber cleaning.
