A Study on Strategic Alliance through Balanced Scorecarding in a IC Package Industry

ABSTRACT
Due to the approach of micro profit period and the intense global competition, corporations focus most of their resources on their area of expertise and utilize differentiation management to differ themselves in such area. Nevertheless, in this ever changing environment, companies not only have to maintain their competitiveness, it is also very important for enterprises to carefully manage the up, middle, and downstream supply chain. Besides controlling the entire supply chain like the most major international corporations, the small and middle enterprise in the economic system of Taiwan can tackle the problem of owning a complete supply chain with the method of ‘Strategic alliance’.
The research points out if the strategic alliance cannot be effectively planned, evaluated and done, it would result in member’s suspicion and fail to arrive at the target of organization. Using the evaluation system in time will help the enterprise evaluate its result and avoid the dilemma and the destiny of alliance dismiss.
The up, middle and downstream of IC package industry face their bottleneck during the process usually affects each other, so the structure of the strategic alliance becomes a trend in recent years. The partner suspect each other during the process, The results will eliminate the operator’s competitive ability and even disintegrate, So it should to evaluate the partners practing performance.
Thence, the study on strategic alliance of IC package industry using the balanced scorecard. As the results, the competitive ability had been promoted by strategic alliance effectively in high competition market.
