孕育的過程、生命的延續、母體與新生兒之間的互動，母體懷孕時心理情緒變化、生理蛻變等，是本論述所要探討的創作主題。文中將談及此部動畫作品「孕」的創作動機、風格美學分析，以及油彩直繪動畫的創作紀錄與實驗心得。
本創作將提到動畫影像工作者Caroline Leaf、Michael Dudok de wit以及藝術家Frida Kahlo對本部作品之影響。創作自述裡將說明作品「孕」之影片基本架構、畫面意象探討。而關於本作品之製作技法、油彩直繪製作的技術操作實驗心得，以及結合數位輔助工具的種種實驗過程也將詳細陳述。在研究結果中，將針對油彩直繪動畫的實驗過程詳加介紹，並討論此技術配合數位輔助工具的優缺點加以探討。最後，對於動畫製作的實驗以及未來的動畫發展，提出個人的見解。

The thesis discuess that the process of gestation, the continuation of life, and the interaction between an un-born baby and an expectant mother. The changes of the emotion and physiology during pregnancy are also included. The motivation and esthetics analysis of my animation 『The gestation』will be mentioned. In addition, the article records the procedure, techniques, and experiment results in the author’s paint on glass animation work.
This article will explain how the creations form experimental animation creators Caroline Leaf, Michael Dudok de wit and the artist Frida Kahlo affect this film. In my subject ”The gestation”, I will illustrate the structure and metaphor of the motion picture. The experiment with direct animation, paint-on-glass, and the combination within the animation skill and digital techniques, will also be presented. In the conclusion, I will show my point of view for the development and future directions of animation.
