September 2008, three women, who survived in their country , went to Spain in the same time --with money, a suitcase, and unresolved doubts, They studied dancing , in the girthplace of flamenco—Spain Seville.
So, in this small apartment, Mexico Paloma, India Farah and I ,spent the 90 days studing and living together . Paloma , a 40-year-old single mother, leave her son , and her ex-husband, just to come here to meet the basic needs of life . Farah , a 28-year-old woman , once lost her lover, and tried to switch anger and pain to keep dancing. And I ,a 30-year-old woman , didn’t want to do anything , and spent all of my money going to Spain. I just want to figure out who am I .
Of these, about women, and the physical liberation of women in travel, including how to re-new in the collision, and how people survive between art and life, is my research purpose in "Rainbow Soup" .
Through in-depth participant observation in Paloma and Farah’s routine life, I continue thinking about "What is reality?" . I found that , as long as I can relax , and let all of things hqppen in its’ own temple , we can touch the “reality” nearly .
Finally, I found, whether dance, live, or record , they are just like a kind of travel.Put everything down , and relax but conscious of following his instincts . Go along with awareness, and not afraid of all the real moment .All things will naturally develop its own look. As Paloma said in the film “:As a woman who loved dancng , you can dance in your own style, show your way, do not be afraid of rainy days or sunny days. Just be a kid , and take rainy day as a fun day ,Finnally , you will see the rainbow.”
