阿亞華斯亞是亞馬遜河流域的巫師用來追求心靈和具有治療功效的一種像茶飲的液體。這個巫師傳統盛行於南美、北美和歐洲。1990年代開始，阿亞華斯亞的使用在南美激增，然後流傳至北美和歐洲，同時也延伸其觸角至世界各地。一旦阿亞華斯亞的使用擴散到亞馬遜河流域外的地區，阿亞華斯亞的傳統便開始產生變化。
　　
「阿亞華斯亞在台灣」旨在研究台灣阿亞華斯亞現象。本研究著重在探討意識探索、阿亞華斯亞經驗的現象學、以及網際網路和西方外來移民在阿亞華斯亞傳入台灣的過程中所扮演的次要角色。同時，本研究也討論這個南美巫師傳統流傳到台灣的經過以及其

本書面報告是討論社會現象的研究，其目的在於製作一部紀錄片。照此，本書面報告以在研究和製作「阿亞華斯亞在台灣」紀錄片過程中得到的知識評估作結。

　　In South America there has existed for hundreds if not thousands of years a shamanic
tradition of drinking a tea-like drink brewed called ayahuasca made from various plants found
in the Amazon River basin. This shamanic tradition has gained in popularity among people in
South America, but also among North Americans and Europeans. Ayahuasca's rapid rise in
popularity, beginning in the 1990s in South America and spreading to North America and
Europe, has also affected the spread of its use in other areas in the world, and its traditions
have been transformed in the process.

　　Ayahuasca in Taiwan is an investigation of the ayahuasca-in-Taiwan phenomenon. This
investigation focuses on consciousness exploration, the phenomenology of the ayahuasca
experience, and the secondary role the Internet and Western immigration has played in the
process of ayahuasca coming to Taiwan. This investigation also studies the process of
transformation the South American shamanic tradition has undergone as it has spread to
Taiwan.

　　This is an investigation of a social phenomenon that has as its goal the production of a
documentary film. As such, this investigation concludes with an appraisal of the knowledge
gained by engaging in this process of researching and producing the documentary Ayahuascca
in Taiwan.
