政治社會化是一個形塑個人政治態度並且持續不斷的歷程，但是形塑的最初以及影響最深的社會化機構也就非家庭莫屬。筆者經過了文獻的整理；發現政黨認同對於個人的投票行為有一定程度上的影響，然而家庭對於子女形塑政黨認同這項政治態度是具有強烈的傳遞效果，儘管日後個人與政黨有議題與立場上的不同，個人還是有很大的機會投票給心中已認同的政黨，那是從小家庭所給予個人形塑的深層信念。
　　本文利用深度訪談十三位大學生的方式；來分析比較他們的家庭背景，是父親還是母親形塑他們政黨認同的態度比較深，進而來分與歸納哪一種的家庭教養方式與相處模式，會讓子女會比較傾向父親的政黨認同或是母親的政黨認同；筆者根據國內外的學者研究指出，母親相對於父親對子女的政黨認同影響較深，但這是大部分家庭的量化資料。本研究發現在受訪者9到13歲與其生活較密切者對其政黨認同的形成有較大的影響力，另在青春期之後根據訪談資料發現母親對子女政黨認同的影響力還是稍微大過父親，若父母兩人政治態度不同時，子女仍會選擇心中影響力較大者並接受其政治觀念。

Political socialization is an on-going process that shapes a person’s political attitudes, and the social institution that sets the initial shaping and that has a far-reaching impact, will be none other than one’s family. After performing research in existing literature, this study finds that the identification with a political party poses some impact over personal voting action, while a family injects a powerful transferring effect on the political attitudes that shapes children’s political party identification. In spite of personal view differences with issues and stands of the political party, the individual still has a high probability of voting for the identified political party, due to a deeply shaped belief that has been bestowed by the individual’s family since childhood.

This study interviewed thirteen college students by using the in-depth interview method, then analyzes and compares their family backgrounds to see if the fathers, or the mothers, have a greater impact on shaping their party identifications, and then further analyzes and summarizes what types of family education and interaction model steer children’s political party identification to the father’s side, or the mother’s side. Based on scholarly papers from domestic and overseas sources, a mother, compared to a father, has a greater impact on children’s party identifications. However, these results are from the quantitative information on most of the families. The research findings of this study can be summarized as follows: first, when the respondents at their age of 9 to 13, they tend to form their party identification from whoever lives most intimately with them. Secondly, after their adolescence, mothers tend to be more influential in terms of party identification than fathers. Finally, when parents hold different political attitudes, the respondents will still take side with the one who he or she thinks has more influence on their lives.
