近幾年來，台灣已婚女性勞動參與率持續上升，家庭暴力通報件數卻居高不下，其中又以婚姻暴力為最主要型態。回顧過去文獻在探討已婚女性與婚姻暴力之關係，發現多以女性個人、家庭及社會因素來做切入，包含年齡、個人所得、家庭所得及教育等重要變數。本研究參考過往文獻進一步探討女性經濟能力，對家庭衝突之影響。

本研究以華人家庭動態資料庫第十三年計畫（RR2011）做為研究資料，透過logistic模型來進行實證分析。研究結果顯示:有穩定月薪工作之女性相較於不穩定之女性，較容易在和配偶發生意見不合時遭受配偶使用肢體暴力或言詞虐待，勝算比為1.51倍。此外，本研究進一步考慮夫妻雙方相對工作穩定度對婚姻衝突之影響，亦發現相較傳統家庭中僅男性有穩定工作，若家庭中僅女性有穩定工作，當雙方出現意見不合時，男性更容易使用肢體暴力和言詞虐待，勝算比為2.16倍。女性勞動參與率上升可能使得家庭安定性下降，因此建議政府在鼓勵已婚女性參與勞動市場時能提出配套措施，如對家庭內部的權力做重分配的社會教育及透過媒體宣導使社會大眾視婚姻暴力為不合理的社會風氣，藉此降低已婚女性就業對家庭內部不穩定之影響。

Labor force participation of married women has been increasing sharply in Taiwan. The number of domestic violence cases, however, remains high, and the vast majority is marital violence. Most research in Taiwan studying marital violence focused on female characteristics, including age, income and education level, family history and social factors. Little has been done to analyze the effect of married women’s relative financial independence on marital violence. This study intends to examine the connection between financial ability of married women and domestic conflicts.

Based on the 13th-year project, RR2011, of the Panel Study of Family Dynamics dataset, the study conducts an empirical analysis with Logistic Regression Model. The findings show that women with stable monthly income are more likely to be verbally or physically abused than women without stable monthly income when having conflicts with their spouses The odds ratio is 1.51. In addition, the study finds that, compared with women in traditional families that men are the primary income providers, women who are the major source of family income are prone to experience verbal or physical abuse when they have conflicts with their husbands. The odds ratio is 2.16, suggesting that when women are more financially independent,the family stability would become lower. Therefore, it is recommended that the government provides supporting measures to mitigate family instability caused by higher female labor force participation rate when encouraging married women to join the labor market, such as improving the social education on domestic roles or conveying to the public through the media that marital violence is a wrong social conduct .
