There are more and more people with diabetes around the world. In light of our increasing mortality rate of diabetic patients over 40, this study targets the elderly to ensure they control their diet and glucose level by making glucose meter a carry-on device. Nowadays, the intrusive lancing device, equipped with a lancet, is still the most commonly used method in obtaining blood samples. It is one of the necessary associate electronics that comes with the purchase of glucose meter. Our focus is to make the device becomes more user-friendly. This study mainly analyzes the product designs on the market, using the universal design standards. Through the actual operation and questionnaires, this study explores the problems respondents encounter, finding out what needed to be improved. Then according to the findings, we will present a well modified design. For the field of lancing device, this research suggests that designers refer to universal design. Because an easy-to-use product is what makes it a good design, and they are meant to be used by consumers.
