Education has been considered an investment for human resource, for expecting the reward in the future. The support from family is important in everyone’s education. A different family background gives a different support. My research is to see the difference of education spending among families and among the parents and to analyze the various which affect the spending and to summarize with my suggestion. I choose single-parent families, nuclear families, grandparenting families, three-generation families, and the other families to be my researching subjects. The result showshigher spending for education from three-generation families and nuclear families compared with the thers;Miscellaneous school fees is the biggest part for nuclear families spending on education, while cram-school’s fees is for three-generation families. Nuclear families spend more tutors’ fees compared with other families. Single-parent families’ education spending is affected by their accessible incomes, owning a house or not, and the occupation of the parents;Nuclear families’ education spending is affected by their accessible incomes, owning a house or not, and the education of the parents;Grandparenting families' education spending is affected by their accessible incomes, Three-generation families’ education spending is affected by their accessible incomes, owning a house or not, and the education of the parents;other-families’ education spending is affected by their accessible incomes, and the gender of the parents.
