In the course of development of academic research, literature plays a very important role, it not only provides researchers understand past studies, more able to look at the situation on the knowledge of the discipline process development.
In this thesis, dissertations as indigenous music-related text analysis, researchers explore the past three decades in dealing with indigenous music this topic, type and content embedded in them all kinds of knowledge, methods. This thesis is divided into five chapters, introduction of the first chapter of the motive, purpose, method and relevant literature and research areas and restrictions explanation and discussion. The second chapter is literature background and methods, other subjects discussed to illustrate the case of literature, and then extended to the theories and methods of handling documents Musicology. The third chapter analyzes the type of paper for indigenous music, indigenous music during study, groups, themes and methodology of these three categories is the main direction of the prevailing terms, therefore, by discussing these three directions, aboriginal researchers can understand the attitude and perception of music. Chapter IV of indigenous music paper analyzes the type of music, this chapter presents the methods researchers use several different treatments, some of the concepts and knowledge as well as researchers held in notation analysis.
