The thesis is composed of three parts. The first chapter examines the relationships in photography, painting and animation.A painting should be a presentation of painter’s thinking process while a photo captures the original and unconceled condition of object. The animation results from the continuation of every static movement. The second chapter focuses my animation work 《Here I Am!》. The motivation of producing this work originates from an accidental meeting in an advertising board. I use many metaphor and symbols to convey my feeling about man living in city, it is also my reflction on life. All the image appear in this work represent a specific connotation, but in combination of these images creates ambiguous meaning which leaves room for exploring. The third chapter relates the making process of work. By the long process of changing thoughts into picture, I finally approach the goal which is full of ambiguities at first. I use the glazing technique to accomplish my color scheme.
