The film is concerning a man, Vietnamese worker, who came back to home town in short-term and then going back to Taiwan for working again. The director was looking for the participant for a while and trusting the recording experience to perform this film. In this process, the director had took nights after work time of the participant and used merely a few rest days to move on this documentary for two years.
Even though this film might barely relate to some slightly livelihood of the participant among several researches, it is certainly to present the difficulties of life and culture shock. Given more and more chances to connect with digital video technology, everyone can employ on video recording. However, the director believes that video recording could demonstrate truth and emotion better than letters. Therefore, the research is proposed by documentary film in principle and utilizes other materials, such as, recording journal and paper reports in support. Thus, the materials could represent the participants completely.
