臺灣博碩士論文加值系統

本研究旨在探究國內博、碩士論文及學術期刊於圖書資訊學主題分佈之狀況，進以探討圖書館資訊科學的學術研究發展及其研究變遷，並了解台灣地區圖書資訊科學相關學校的未來發展趨勢。研究所採用的樣本為國內圖書資訊學系、所博、碩士論文，收集範圍從95學年度至99學年度(2006-2011年)，共457筆資料，以及圖書資訊學領域11個學術期刊近五年來的文獻，共1068篇。依據美國圖書資訊學教育學會ALIS的「圖書資訊學研究領域分類表」之分類體系的八大類為基礎，將457筆博碩士論文及1068筆學術期刊依其內容性質予以歸類，再利用excel及SPSS進行統計分析。
研究結果如下：
一、 博、碩士論文的研究主要著重在第四類「使用者群服務」及第六類「資訊系統與檢索」
若以主類來做比較，依序為第四類使用者群服務，第六類資訊系統與檢索，第三類館藏發展，第七類圖書館與資訊供應者類型，第五類資訊組織，第二類圖書資訊學教育，第一類圖書資訊學發展/原理，第八類管理與行政，大致上與主次類合併的順序相同。以次類來看，則以第七類圖書館與資訊供應者類型最多，第四類使用者群服務次多，第一類圖書資訊學發展/原理仍是最少。

二、期刊論文的研究主要著重在第三類「館藏發展」、第六類「資訊系統與檢索」
研究結果顯示期刊論文的研究主要著重在第三類「館藏發展」、第六類「資訊系統與檢索」及第四類「使用者群服務」這三大部分。而主分類分佈上是以第三類「館藏發展」第四類「使用者群服務」、及第六類「資訊系統與檢索」最多；次分類分佈上期刊論文以第六類「資訊系統與檢索」最多，次多是第七類為「圖書館與資訊供應者類型」。
三、依研究領域及主題分佈狀況，集群分析系統將博碩士學位論文方面分為4 個群 組；期刊論文方面分為6 個群組。

依據圖書資訊學系在博碩士學位論文研究，以及期刊論文所得的各項結果，提出幾點建議做為參考：

六.持續調查圖書資訊學領域發展

This study aims to explore the distribution of domestic doctoral dissertation & master''s theses and academic journals on the subject of Library and Information Science (LIS), into the development of library information science, academic research and research changes, and understand the future development of the Taiwan Area Library and Information Science School trend. This study collects 457 domestic doctoral dissertation and master’s thesis from year 2006 to 2011in the Library and Information Science Department, as well as 1068 literature in 11 academic journals in the field of Library and Information Science of the past five years. Based on LIS Research Areas Classification Scheme of American Library and Information Science ( ALIS), 457 dissertation (and theses) and 1068 academic journals according to the contents of nature were divided into 8 areas, and Excel and SPSS were used for statistical analysis.

The results are as follows:
1. Doctoral dissertation & master''s theses research focused on "Service to User Populations (area 4)" and "Information Systems and Retrieval(area 6).
By comparison the primary classification, the sequence is “Service to User Populations (area 4)”, “Information Systems and Retrieval (area 6)”, ”Collection Development (area 3), “Types of Libraries and Information Providers (area 7)”, “Organization of Information (area 5), “LIS education (area2)”, ”Development/Principles of LIS (area 1), and “Management/Administration (area 8)”, which is identical to the sequence of merged primary and secondary classification. In the point of view of secondary classification, “Types of Libraries and Information Providers (area 7)” is the most, the second is “Service to User Populations (area 4), and the “Development/Principles of LIS (area 1) is the least.

2. Journal articles mainly focus on "Collection Development(area 3)" and " Information Systems and Retrieval (area 6)”
The results show that the research of journal articles mainly focuses on "Collection Development (area 3)", " Information Systems and Retrieval (area 6)" and " Service to User Populations (area 4). Based on the primary classification, the distribution sequence is "Collection Development (area 3)", "Service to User Populations (area 4)", and "Information Systems and Retrieval (area 6). Based on the secondary classification, "Information Systems and Retrieval (area 6)” is the most and the second is "Types of Libraries and Information Providers (area 7)”.

In accordance with the results of the research on the dissertation (and theses) of LIS and Journal Papers, make a few suggestions as a reference:
1. Periodically amend and publish LIS classification scheme
2. Establish the complete doctoral dissertation and master’s theses database
3. Continue to investigate Library and Information Science fields development
