ERP的計劃管理的模型仍是MRPII，而MRP在計劃排程方面存在以下幾項弱點：
1.所有工作都是在以無限能力的前提下進行；
2.假定前置準備期是已知的固定值；
3.重復計劃過程要花費很多時間；
4.只根據交付週期或交付日期來安排生産的優先次序；
5.貧乏的決策支援能力。
直至90年代中期，先進排程規劃系統（Advanced Planning and Scheduling，APS）的實用化克服了ERP在計劃排程大部份的缺點，但在決策支援方面就鮮少著墨。值得注意的是，ERP系統中的傳統物料需求計劃(MRP)只限於生産和採購領域，不做最佳化，且在大多數情況下甚至不考慮目標函數。
雖然APS強勁的排程引擎解決了ERP在排程規劃方面大部份的缺失，但仍未解決決策支援能力；排程人員把不同約束條件的資料輸入至APS，以供APS排程引擎產生不同可行候選排程，APS經由排程人員所輸入的排程資料和生產優先順序資料的複雜運算後，產生出來的可行候選排程通常不只一個，然後再由較有經驗的排程人員進行最後排程的選定，待最後排程選定後，現場工作人員才依照所選定的排程來進行生產。
有鑑於此，本研究目的是針對上述問題作解決，以OLAP方法在排程選擇問題上建立一套較具客觀、便利、直觀且能有效幫助決策者的排程選擇支援模式，透過友善的使用者介面得到各個候選排程的相關資料，進而提供現場排程人員做決策時的參考。最後以多屬性效用理論來分析各個可行方案，依據排程決策者所輸入的權重及價值函數來進行最後排程的選定。

Cause the planning model of ERP is MRPII, and there are some weaknesses of MRP in schedule planning as follows:
1.All works were proceeded under the prerequisite of limitless abilities.
2.Preparation period is hypothesized as a given fixed value.
3.Process of programming repeatedly costs too much time.
4.Due day is the only basis for arranging the order of production.
5.Poor decision-making support.
Up to early 21st century, the practicability of Advanced Planning and Scheduling (APS) has reformed most of the weaknesses of ERP in schedule planning. However, there’s not much data about decision-making support. MRP in ERP system is not only limited to production and purchase field, but neither doing optimization nor generally considering the target function.
Although the powerful scheduling engine of APS has reformed most of the weaknesses of ERP in schedule planning, the decision-making support is still out of improvement. Schedule engineers enter different information of constraints into APS to provide APS scheduling engine to produce different candidate for schedules. After the complex operation of schedule information and production order information entered by schedule engineers, APS usually produces more than one candidate for schedules. Experienced schedule engineers would then to take the final one. When the final schedule is complete, the production line will be according to the result by on-site workers.
The study is to solve the problem mentioned above. Use OLAP to set up an objective, convenient, and helpful schedule DSS model, obtain relevant data of each candidate for schedule through friendly GUI, and then provide a reference for decision-makers. Finally, analyze each feasible project by MAUT, and then proceed the final schedule selection according to weight and value function entered by schedule decision-makers.
