齒輪常用於機械領域及動力傳遞，因有傳遞功率大、傳動速比正確及可傳遞較遠距離等優點，故廣泛使用於工業上。但隨著機械工業發展以及產品的運動需求趨於複雜，傳統定轉速齒輪傳遞系統已無法滿足產品的運動要求，若能設計出符合機械運動曲線之齒輪，不但可提高機械傳遞效率，更可節約能源避免不必要之動力消耗，而非圓形齒輪則可根據非均速之運動要求來設計節曲線。過去咸少非圓形齒輪之研究，且電腦數值計算及非圓形齒輪相關理論發展尚未成熟。本文根據機車引擎轉速曲線進行曲線擬合，利用方程式呈現出轉速之運動，據以設計非圓形齒輪之節曲線，並使用數值積分計算節曲線弧長及中心距，再使用齒輪嚙合原理及機構倒置觀念求得以刨齒刀刨製之非圓形齒輪齒形。而後探討將非圓形齒輪組放入機車引擎中對轉速之影響，因原有之引擎轉速並非固定且易有機械振動，故利用一對非圓形齒輪平衡轉速並獲得平滑的運動曲線以降低引擎之急跳度。本研究亦開發機車傳動測試平台，以實際驗證機車引擎加裝非圓形齒輪組之後，探討對於轉速平滑性的影響。

Gears are often used in the mechanical field and power transmission, because the advantages of large transmission power, correct transmission speed ratio and long-distance transferability. Therefore, it is widely used in industry. However, the machinery industry development and product kinematic demand tends to be complex, the traditional constant speed gear transmission system is unsatisfied with kinematic demand. Design the gear to match mechanical movement, not only improve mechanical transmission efficiency but also save the energy. The pitch curve of the non-circular gear can be obtained considering the non-uniformity motion. There are less research on non-circular gears in the past, due to the computer numerical calculation, and non-circular gear theory are imperfect.
The research uses curve fitting to fit the scooter revolution speed firstly. The equation shown the motion of two non-circular gears is applied to design the pitch curve. Calculate the pitch curve arc length and center distance by numerical integration, and use the inverse mechanism and equation of meshing to obtain non-circular gear generated by shaper cutter. After which the effect of non-circular gear in engine is explored. Because the original engine speed is not fixed and it’s easy to have mechanical vibration. So non-circular gears are used to equilibrate the revolution speed to obtain smooth curve and reduce jerking in the engine. This research also developed the testing platform for transmission, and to set up non-circular gear verification, as well as exploring the flatness effect of revolution speed.
