《過河卒》是一部在描述女高中生小梅與老師,雙方相愛之下情感流動的故事,「過河卒」一詞取自象棋裡面的「兵卒」,將棋盤中兵卒只能往前不能後退的規則,藉此規則來譬喻在時間的流動性下,人永遠只能選擇成長,而無法倒退。筆者也才將這個譬喻,來描述女主角在與老師的相愛過程中,必須經歷的悲痛成長。

此研究結合了筆者的個人生命經驗,自我投射在女主角身上,以及加入在台灣2020 年普遍遇到的社會㔁育問題——單親環境與未成年的情感問題,筆者將「師生戀」、「成長」視為此研究的核心,來探討上述社會問題,並用此研究做一個統整的分析、展示與說明。

“Crossing the River” is based on a story that tells a teenage student Mei falls in love with her private painting teacher. The word “Crossing the River”is taken from the "pawn" in chinese chess,indicating the rule that pawns only can be forward but never backward by the rules of chess. By taking this restrictive rule to metaphor of inability to retreat, using this rule to illustrate that under the fluidity of time, people ca-n always only choose to grow, but cannot regress. The author uses this metaphor to describe Mei and her teacher's relationship and unfulfilled love. The main character Mei has been projected by the author's own experience and self image.
This essay includes Taiwan's common issues like education and single parent environment in 2020. This film's subject is based on the study of “Growing up”and“love between teacher-students"
Author will use those subjects to explore the problems in the above text,and make a demonstration to describe and analyze the study of “Crossing the River”.
