在過去認為，企業的首要任務即是獲利，為了獲取最高的利潤，其它的部分都可以犧牲掉。而現今對企業的要求，已經不是消極的要求企業符合法規而已，而是更積極的要求企業需負擔起企業責任，為社會環境的維持盡最大的努力。
航空業乃是高汙染的產業，但卻又是不能不存在之惡。隨著人們生活水準的提高，對於客機的搭乘已不僅僅是單純的交通工具而已，在追求安全的前提下，乘客對於服務以及飛行品質日益重視。是故，提昇飛行品質與節能減碳兩者之間，似乎難以呈同向發展。
在全世界，每年飛行人數都呈幾乎40%的增加，因此，飛機成為人類最主要的交通工具之一，因此，如何減少碳排量並達到節能減碳之果成為航空業不得不面對的課題。
本文研究主要以探討航空業如何在不影響安全的前提下，達到節能減碳愛地球的效果，並以國內最大的民營航空公司¬-長榮航空為例，討論及分析其為減碳所做的實際作為以及該作為所帶來的成效；除此之外，本文亦將其作為與其它同業做比較；最後，本文將就長榮航空如何改進提出可能之方案以及建議事項，以使減碳工作更臻完美。

In the past, seeking profit is considered as the primary task for enterprises. In order to obtain the highest profit, all others could be sacrificed. At present, the enterprises are required not only to conform to the legal regulations, but also to do their utmost and undertake the social responsibilities of maintaining friendly environment.
Aviation industry is high polluting, but it has to exist. As the upgrade of living standard, the airplane isn’t just a transportation method. Under the premise of pursuing flight safety, the passengers are paying more and more attention to the service and flight quality. Hence, it seems quite difficult to improve flight quality in parallel to energy saving and carbon reduction.
Then number of flight passengers almost increases by 40% annually all over the world. So airplanes have become the main transportation tool for human beings,

hence, how to reduce carbon emission and save energy has become an inevitable topic for the aviation industry.
This study explores how the aviation industry achieves the goal of energy saving and carbon reduction under the premise of not affecting the flight safety. Taking an example of the biggest civil airlines, EVA Airways, the actual practices of energy-saving and carbon reduction as well as the resulting effect were discussed and analyzed; In addition, this study also compared the practice of EVA Airlines with that of other peers in this industry; Finally, the study put forward to possible options and suggestions on how EVA Airways continues to make improvement and be better at carbon reduction.
